Chef/Owner Federico Murruni has operated L'Artista Restaurant since 1992. Born in Italy, he studied cooking in Milan. After that he trained in Switzerland and France.
Federico came to Canada in 1975 and worked as a chef in different established restaurants in Vancouver. He bought Al Forno Restaurant in Gastown and operated it for 11 years before moving more into Fine Dining with L'Artista Restaurant.
L'Artista offers an extensive menu. Some specialties include Seafood Dishes, Veal, Lamb, New York Steak, Risotto, Gnocchi and a variety of Pasta Dishes. Federico creates daily specials for lunch and dinner.
