Partner, Eric V. Gottardi, has been counsel in many significant criminal cases at all judicial levels including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Mr. Gottardi’s legal practice covers all facets of criminal practice including: white collar crime, extradition matters, Charter of Rights issues such as search and seizure, search warrant challenges, and constitutional challenges to the validity of legislation, as well as driving offences, fraud, murder, and drug charges.
Eric V. Gottardi has a long history of involvement with the Canadian Bar Association (“CBA”). His contributions have included:
• Chairing the National Criminal Justice Section (2013-present);
• Acting as Vice-Chair of the National Criminal Justice Section (2011-2013);
• Sitting on the Steering Committee on Justice Efficiencies and Access to the Justice System (2010-2011).
Eric is also the co-editor of the Charter of Rights Newsletter published by Canada Law Book, and a frequent instructor of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars to other lawyers on a variety of topics in criminal law.
