Having a Centre – a place to meet – had been for a very long time, a dream of many Italians in the Vancouver community.
The community has made the Italian Cultural Centre its focal point and the prime resource for maintaining, preserving, developing and expressing the unique genius and beauty of the Italian language and culture in all its aspects, as well as providing a gathering place for social activities and friendships, and not just for the Italians, but for all people that admire and treasure the Italian culture.
The Centre functions in three distinct areas:
Cultural and Recreational Wing - Classes of Italian language for youth and adults; conferences and lectures; movies; poetry readings, art exhibits; workshops and presentations.
Social Wing - Trattoria; Osteria / Bocce Courts.
Main Hall - For concerts, plays, recitals, conferences, seminars, banquets, weddings and bingo games.
